Edward A Harper was born on July 6, 1939 and passed peacefully from this world on July 22, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was the cherished son of Alben and Frances (McClanahan) Harper. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Joan Harper, 2 grown children Kim Harper (Jan), Laura (Harper) Bennett (Doug), 4 grandchildren Lance Bennett (Ashley), Holly Bennett, Danielle Bennett, and Blair (Bennett) Barth (Lucas), 4 great grandchildren, Harper, Sutton, August and Cameron.

Ed lived a full life surrounded by family and dear friends. Ed retired from Ford Motor Company after 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He played basketball and baseball in school, then in later years he enjoyed playing golf. Surrounded by family and friends, Ed and the family spent many summer vacations at Hilton Head Island. In his later years, he loved watching sports like golf and the Cardinal games on TV. Ed had many interests over the years, but family came first. His was a life well lived. Everyone who knew him would say he had a quick wit, was one of a kind, and enjoyed a great sense of humor. He will be missed by so many.

Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois, Friday August 8th 8:30 AM until service at 10:30 AM. Inurnment JB National Cemetery. Donations in lieu of Flowers to the Wounded Warrior Foundation https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
