Simonds, Shirley (nee Hunt), passed away on January 3, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Samuel Simonds; loving mother of Samuel R. Simonds, William E. (Cathleen) Simonds and Sharon J. (Cliff) Leve; cherished gradmother of Katherine, Cody (Kensy Wessels), Jeff (Antroinette Willmeno), Zoe, Christopher, Joshua (Allison Brickner), Zachary, Jordan, Logan and great-grandmother of Gage and Kash; dear sister of the late Alan Hunt.
Services: Visitation at New Hope Methodist Church, 3921 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, on Tuesday, January 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at New Hope Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 14, 11:00 am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

I’m truly sorry for the loss of a wonderful woman. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss talking with Aunt Shirley.

Mrs Simonds was a kind and welcoming neighbor. She always approached an individual with a shining smile before offering proud updates regarding her children and grandchildren. She demonstrated, through her life, what is important – family.
