Wayne Mullis, born on July 2, 1947, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 78. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was centered on family and love.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred Mullis and Omie Leona Parnell Mullis; and his brothers, Samuel Lee Mullis and Arthur Mullis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Mullis; his sister, Francis Mullis Parham; and his children: Miranda “Mindy” Renee Mullis Shawley (Paul Shawley), Jessica Ann Mullis, Anthony Mullis, Eduardo Sánchez (Kayle Sánchez), and Catalina Petrillo (Frankie Petrillo).
Wayne was a proud grandfather to Ashley Hood, Thomas Jeremy Hood, McKenzie Mullis, Natalie Williams, Brent Williams, Niko Petrillo, Mila Sanchez, Natalia Petrillo, and Vera Sanchez. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jozi Finch, Aaron Esquenazi, Jacob Esquenazi, Jade Hood, Saffire Kesler Hood, and Griffin Kesler Hood.
Wayne will be remembered for his strength, his dedication to his family, and the lasting legacy of love he leaves behind. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services; Memorial visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Sat. 1/17 from 12 until service at 2PM
Wayne was a good man,I will not forget what he did for my husband,it was a blessing.
