Gerald Lyle, (3/28/1935 -12/30/2025), cherished husband of Betty (Unwin), incredible father to Francesca Flores (the late Jesus), Tina Visintine (Tom), and adored stepfather to Bob Ocello (Colleen), brother and uncle.
Family always came first for Jerry, and he loved spending time with his treasured grandchildren Mateo (Angie), Selena, Jessica, Marco, Luis, Roman, Sam, Tori (Austin), Brittani (Rob), and great-grandchildren Mateo, Jr., Nikko, Anthony, Capri, Aria and Lucia.
A life-long sports fan and proud veteran of the US Army, Jerry enjoyed traveling, jazz music and played a mean saxophone. An animal lover, Jerry was especially taken with his dog Angel, a stray that he and Betty recently welcomed with open arms.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4614 Blue Springs Road, Imperial, MO 63052. Visitation at 10am followed immediately by mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the American Heart Association or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
