Rick Owens, born March 6, 1960, passed away on February 3, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He was the beloved son of Harold and Alta Owens and grew up in a family of seven siblings, a foundation that shaped his deep appreciation for family, loyalty, and connection.
Rick was a devoted husband to his wife, Becky Owens, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage built on love, loyalty, and partnership. Together they raised two children who were the pride of his life: Rich Owens (spouse Amber Owens) and Angie Williams (spouse Lindsey Polk).
Rick was a proud grandfather to Cameron, Cayden, Gwen, Caroline, and Carson, and a cherished great-grandfather to Emilio. His family meant everything to him, and few things brought him more joy than time spent with them.
A skilled contractor by trade, Rick was known not only for his hard work and craftsmanship, but for his generous heart. He believed deeply in helping others and never hesitated to lend his time, skills, or support—especially to family.
Rick also deeply valued friendship. He loved spending time with his many friends and enjoyed going to the horse races, where he shared laughter, stories, and good company. He was a wonderful brother and a true friend—always present, always dependable, and always willing to show up for the people he loved.
Rick will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family and friends, and his willingness to always help others. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the friendships he built, and the countless lives he touched.
Services: A public visitation will take place at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63129) on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 4-8pm. The Funeral Service will then take place at Kutis South County Chapel the following morning at 10am with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery immediately following.
