In Loving Memory of Anneliese Schladt
Anneliese Schladt Asleep in Jesus August 28, 2026, one month shy of her 98th birthday. She lived a long and full life, rich with family, adventure, travel and wonderful memories.
Annelise has now joined her beloved husband of 71 years, Horst J. Schladt, in heaven. On earth, Annelise and Horst were true adventurers. They traveled the world, including visiting 6 of 7 continents, embracing new places, experiences and creating a lifetime of stories along the way.
Anneliese was the cherished sister of Gertrud & the late Victor Schild, Karl & Judy Knoch, and a beloved aunt to Craig & Mary, Linda & Bob, and Patti & Jeff. Also treasured great-aunt to Courtney & Dylan, Lucas & Jennica, Jared & Ansley, Lauren & Feisel, Sierra & Ryan, Abbey and Hannah.
For her family, some of the special memories are places Annelise traveled, the time spent together – days at the lake house, skiing, on both land and water, laughing, visiting, and simply enjoying being a family.
Anneliese’s nearly 98 years brought her a lifetime of experiences, but it is the memories she created with the people she loved that will remain with us. We will remember her adventurous spirit, the life she shared with Horst, and the many years we were fortunate enough to have her in our lives.
Rest peacefully, Anneliese. You were deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on October 4th at 4:00 pm. In the James Savage Chapel located @ Friendship Village, Sunset Hills MO.
