Czaicki, Dr. Nancy L. Age 30, Baptized in the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection, beloved daughter of Cynthia Czaicki and John (Diane) Czaicki; dear sister of Brian and Brett Czaicki; loving granddaughter of John and Joann Czaicki and Shirley and the late Richard Green; loving fiancé of Jake Pry, our dear niece, cousin and friend to many.
Nancy Lynn Czaicki, PhD, MSPH, BS was in a tragic accident on January 3rd, 2017. Dr. Czaicki earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from University of Pittsburgh in chemistry. She participated with Teach for America in Chicago for two years where she changed the lives of many students empowering and encouraging them to go further in the field of science. She continued her education at Emory University earning a Master of Science in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology and a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in epidemiology from the University of California in Berkeley. Her goals were to improve the lives of those living with HIV all over the world and especially Africa where she dedicated study in both Tanzania and Zambia. She lived and worked in Lusaka, Zambia with the Centre for Infectious Disease Research Zambia. While she is deeply mourned around the world we remember the brilliant happiness with which she lived her life and focus on the sunshine she exemplified to the world.
SERVICES: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Tues., Jan 10 9:30am to Assumption Church for 10:00am Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Undikumbukire Project Zambia through www.upzambia.org/donate.Visitation Monday 2-9 pm
