July 21, 2017 in  St. Louis, MO.  Beloved  husband of the late Else Marie Smith (nee Michel); loving father of Connie (Dennis) Peters and the late Barry and Keith Smith; dear grandfather of Ashley (Jake) Rieke; dear great-grandfather of Logan, Mason and Emma Rieke; dear brother of the late A. Harold (the late Lila) Smith; dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. 

   Bill served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Defense, a lifelong friend of “The Scroungies”, an active member of Hope Lutheran Church.

   Services:  Visitation at Hope Lutheran Church (5218 Neosho, 63109) Thursday, July 27, 10 a.m. until Service at 11 a.m.  Interment National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Hope Lutheran Church, appreciated.  A SERVICE OF KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL.
