Stull, Robert Randle

Robert Randle Stull, 77, of Gurnee Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at home after an 8 month battle with cancer. Robert battled 3 separate types of cancer and won twice. He fought until the day he was called to rest peacefully with the lord.

He was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, on June 6, 1943 to the late Henry and Marcia Stull. He is survived by, the love of his life, his wife Kathy Stull, 2 daughters, Connie (James) Hamilton and Selena (Todd) Walker, 4 grandchildren Mason Kaatman, Staff Sgt. Nathaniel Kaatman, USAF, Ethan Walker and Kayla Walker, 2 step grandsons James Hamilton and Bryan Hamilton and 1 step granddaughter Ashley Hamilton who preceded him in death.

Robert was preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Robert served his country proudly in the Navy from 7/8/1960 – 10/29/1980. He retired at the rank of Senior Petty Officer.

Robert was a proud Vietnam veteran, who loved his country. He wished for at least one grandchild to serve our country which was fulfilled and he had the honor of seeing it.

Robert was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family. Anyone who knew Robert knew that he was the most loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law family could ask for. He never met a stranger and always smiling. He was passionate about his Mormon faith, his wife, his family and their 2 dogs He served as a High Priest in his faith.

Anyone who came across Robert was blessed and honored to do so. He will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Thursday, May 20, from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
