Louer, Rose M.

October 21, 1938 - March 15, 2025

Rose Marie Louer succumbed to her illness on March 15, 2025 at 86 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Louer III, and her brothers Paul Raymer and David Raymer.

She is survived by her brother Lloyd Raymer of Lake City, FL, sons Michael Louer (JoAnn) of O’Fallon, Il  and Steven Louer (Diana) of Imperial, MO as well her grandchildren Kate, Joshua and Bryce and numerous nieces, nephews.

She was a high school graduate of Perryville MO high school (’56), and Missouri Baptist Hospital School of Nursing (’59).  She then worked as a nurse for several hospitals, with the majority of her career (20 years) at Anderson Hospital, Maryville IL in the surgery department, retiring in 1998.  She was extremely proud of her service as a nurse.

After marrying John in 1964 they were able to travel the world with his assignments in the US Air Force.  Some of her fondest memories come from her time living in England and all the European cities they were able to visit while there.

She spent much of her retirement years with hobbies such as knitting, but her favorite was painting.  She was an active participant with the Arnold Baptist Church for many years before her illness prevented her from attending.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Thursday, March 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel on Friday, March 21, at 10:00am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association
