Phyllis Francis Adams (née Bauman) was born March 10, 1946 in Damiansville, IL. A daughter of the late Emil Bauman and Mathilda Bauman (Netemeyer). She entered eternal rest on October 3rd, 2024 at her home in St Louis, MO at the age of 78 years.
On April 4, 1970 Phyllis was united in marriage to Ray Adams. They enjoyed over fifty four years together. Three daughters were born to this union.
Phyllis was one of 10 sibling, all of who she treasured. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren, Emily and Ben brought much joy to her life.
Phyllis worked for Mercantile Bank from 1964 to 1972 and for Magnet Works for 13 years after her kids were long grown.
Phyllis never met a stranger without a welcoming smile. She was kind hearted and could talk to anyone. She had many long lasting and true friendships through her life and was never unwilling to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Phyllis enjoyed reading books, finding new recipes and trying them out on her family, spending quality time with family and friends, hunting for deals at yard, estate and garage sales, she enjoyed sewing, and playing a mean game of cards with her grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Ray, three daughters Jennifer Adams and Victoria Adams of St. Louis and Joann Ahrens and a wonderful son-in-law Ted Ahrens of Imperial Mo. Two grandchildren Emily and Ben Ahrens. A sister Paulette Bauman of St. Louis. Three brothers Gerald Bauman (Dorothy) of Breese, IL, Louis Bauman (Nancy) of Debois IL and Paul Bauman (Jane) of Belleville IL, A sister-in-law Toni Bauman.
Two brother-in-laws Kenneth Adams of Viburnum MO, Larry Adams (Barb) of St. Louis MO, Two sister-in-laws Betty Moses (Bruce) of Arizona, Sharon Orris (Frank) of Virginia and other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Phyllis was also preceded in death by three sisters Louise Hepp, Ruth Zimmerman (Ronnie) and Geraldine Bauman, Two brothers James Bauman and Marcel Bauman, A nephew Todd Bauman, and Sister in law Paulette Adams
Phyllis’s loss has been and will continue to be felt greatly.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made on behalf of Phyllis Adams to the American Heart association www.heart.org or Alzheimer’s association act.alz.org.
Visitation will be 4:00pm-7:00pm and a Memorial service 7:00pm- 7:30pm on

I worked with Phyllis many years at Magnet Works/Studio M. She always had a smile on her face. I always enjoyed our talks and the loved the advice she would give me. Definitely a wonderful lady I had in my life.
Sorry I will not be able to make the service. I have an out of town friend coming in town Thursday visiting me.

We totally understand about not being able to make it. Many of her co workers and even sue came that Thursday. You all had a great bond.! I know mom really enjoyed you all too, she talked about you all often. What a great job for you all to have! Thank you for reaching out, and yes she did give great advice. I miss it and her ❤️
Phyllis and I were very good friends as well as workmates at Mercantile Bank for many years. She will be missed by many family members and friends as i will miss her for sure too. I pray for her family too. Love to all Rose M. Heinemann
