Charles “Chuck” Bohannon, 75, of St. Louis, Mo., was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Chuck was the loving husband of Linda Bohannon, nee Browning; cherished father of Scott (Laura) Bohannon and Chrissy Hugyez; adored grandfather of Lauren and Nathan Bohannon and Aubrey Hugyez. He was loved by his brother Dan (Della) Bohannon, sisters Pat (Brandt) Hansen and Lana Clark, and his brothers-in-law Jim Browning and Bob Teiber. He was a beloved uncle, cousin, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyne Pankey, his sister Cheryl Teiber, and son-in-law Brandon Hugyez.
Chuck was a faithful man who loved his friends and family fiercely. Throughout his life, he held a variety of jobs that brought him joy and many friendships. In retirement, he enjoyed old westerns, the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR & NHRA racing, napping, coffee, and cigars. He will be deeply and forever missed by those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Chuck to 25:35 Ministries, P.O. Box 25035, St. Louis, MO 63125.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, at Kutis Funeral Home – South County Chapel. A memorial service will be held promptly following the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Michael David officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
I was blessed to be one of those friends that Chuck loved fiercely, as his obituary says. He was a trusted friend and prayer warrior; one who would call to check on you to let you know he was praying for your situation. For 35 years we shared many laughs, tears, happy and sad times. Many a vacation in Branson, Gatlinburg or Florida were spent where memories were made. Thank you Chuck for the wonderful memories —— I’ll hold them close to my heart until we meet again in heaven.
I was blessed to have done homeless ministries with him and Linda. We also went to a couple Drag Races together. I will miss him dearly. Love God and his family.
Chuck was a good man and a dear friend. I appreciate his fellowship. Pam and I are praying for Linda and family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Tim and Pam
It was my honor and privilege to know Mr. Bohannon through his son Scott. I know that you were loved by many and will be missed by many. Know that we will meet again sir. God bless.
Rest in peace dear brother in law. The world will miss your ever present smile and kind spirit. I thank the Lord for your life here and know you rejoice and praise Him in His presence now. Save a seat in the stands for me! Hallelujah!
So very sorry . I would love to see you, but am working all day and unable to attend the service.
Linda-I’m so very sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. May good memories bring you comfort and may his memory always be a blessing. Sending love-Karen Willey
