  1. You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. Knew the Bohnerts when they lived in St.Mary Magdalen parish. Lorraine and I volunteered for many years. A great person . Always a smile and ready help. Enjoyed those times with Lorraine.
Again my sympathies on your loss

  2. BOHNERT FAMILY …….

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Lorraine, and kindly extend them to the entire Bohnert family.

Lorraine and her husband were faithful supporters of the St. Mary Magdalen St. Vincent de Paul Conference for many years. Their generosity and commitment helped us assist countless neighbors in need throughout our community. Their support was never simply a financial contribution; it was a reflection of their deep faith and their desire to help others.

It is my understanding that Lorraine and her husband shared a special relationship with Father Tom Bryon. They believed strongly in his ministry and in the work he was doing within our parish and the broader community. Their continued support of our conference was a beautiful expression of that faith and trust.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend today’s services. Recent storms caused significant damage to my son’s home in Affton. My son and grandson are currently attending the long-planned Boy Scout camp at S-F Ranch in southern Missouri, and I am helping manage the cleanup efforts in their absence. A large tree from a neighboring property fell into their backyard, causing extensive damage to their pool, chicken coop, wooden fence, and gazebo. While the work is substantial, I am grateful to be able to assist them during this time.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with Lorraine, her family, and all who loved her. She was a wonderful friend to our conference and to the many people whose lives were touched by her kindness and generosity.

As a personal note, I had hoped to meet Lorraine’s sister. Many years ago, Lorraine told me that my Uncle Steve, who lived on Bohemian Hill in St. Louis, had dated her sister. It would have been enjoyable to hear those stories and make that connection.

May Lorraine rest in the peace of Christ, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

    Sincerely,

    Joseph Miklovic, Treasurer
    St. Vincent de Paul Conference
St. Mary Magdalen / St. Lucy Parish
