  3. To the Bob Christman Family,

I moved into the Christman family’s neighborhood more than fifty-five years ago, and from day one they became a huge part of my life. I grew up with the younger ten brothers and sisters, but I always knew all of them, including Bob, who was already married to Di by then yet still welcomed me like an old friend.

Through hockey, softball, golf, and plenty of poker nights, I got to know Bob as someone who played hard, laughed easily, and made everyone feel included. One of my favorite memories was after our weekly softball games, when the whole team and their families which consisted mostly of Christmans, would come to my first house to swim. We’d barbecue, have a few beers or sodas, turn on the jukebox, and just have a “Ball” with all the kids in the pool or yard games. Those were some of the best nights of my life, and Bob was always right in the middle of the fun.

Over the years, I didn’t just watch his kids and grandkids grow, I became friends with them too. Being invited to so many of their weddings was an honor I’ll always treasure. Bob valued people, remembered relationships, and kept those bonds strong across generations.

To the entire Christman family, Bob meant a great deal to me. I’m grateful for every game we played, every laugh we shared, every beer we raised, and every moment spent together. His spirit, his kindness, and the family he helped shape will always stay with me. May He Rest in Peace.

    With Love and Respect,
    Jim “Mitch” Mitchell

  6. Dear Diana and family,

We would like to give our sincere condolences to Diana and family during this most difficult time. We have been next door neighbors to the Christmans’ for nearly 40 years. Over the years we have seen countless Christman parties, family gatherings etc. and let us tell you that Bob was always in the center of the celebration., cooking the barbecue, having a beer and a cigar on the porch with the boys or just hanging out with everyone having another beer in the backyard. He loved his family and was so very proud of them.
Sending thoughts and many prayers to you all.
