It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela ‘Angie’ Cierpiot on October 29th at the age of 62. Angie passed peacefully in her home on hospice, and she leaves behind a close circle of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was a beloved wife of David Cierpiot with 14 years of marriage; loving mother of Aurelia (Sam Wos) O’Neil; step-grandmother to Caleb, Liana, and Taylor (Lisa Clark); daughter and best friend to Aurelia (Antonius) Kroon; sister to Juanita (Richard) Lamby, Ramona (James) Murnan, and Anthony Kroon; and loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Angie was preceded in death by her father Antonius Kroon and former husband John O’Neil.
Angie will forever be known for her infectious laugh, steadfast hospitality, kind-hearted spirit, and dedication to her work. A fighter, she maintained partial remission after a 2021 cancer diagnosis, and fought hard for four months against a secondary, aggressive cancer that was discovered in July of 2026. Her diagnosis came as a surprise to us all, but we find solace in knowing that she is no longer in pain.
SERVICES: A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th, from 4-7pm at Kutis Funeral Home, South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville, MO 63129. Memorial service to be held the following day, Thursday, November 12th, beginning at 10am at St. Mary Margaret Alacoque, 4900 Ringer Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org/
David, We are so sad at Angie’s loss. She was the love of your life and you were her strength. Remember, your sisters are all here for you.
I had the privilege of meeting Angie in November 2023 at a work meeting. We exchanged a few words and share some laughs. She was very dedicated to her work. Rest in peace my friend.
