David Clement

In Loving Memory

Clement, David Kim

October 26, 1977 - July 15, 2024

On July 15, 2024, we lost David Kim Clement, husband of Joe Christopher. Beloved son of Steven and Young A Clement. Dear brother of Tina Clement (Brian Hummer). Fierce and loyal friend to many.

David grew up working at the Sunshine Cafe, a restaurant owned and operated by his parents in Duluth, MN. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he met his future husband, Joe. He was an avid traveler, and knew the location of every airport lounge. He also had an affinity for music, and parlayed his love of travel to attend concerts and festivals in faraway locations. He loved visiting tropical locales, and especially enjoyed a nice day at the beach. He excelled at and found joy in his job, but his strong work ethic was not confined to his career – it extended to ensuring that everyone around him felt happy and loved at all times. He brought laughter into every room and the sound of his laugh was a beautiful melody that will play on.

He also loved animals, specifically dogs. Even more specifically, the dogs that he rescued or took into his home: Baxter, Muzzy, Boogie, Casey, and Anna Mae. Their lives were forever changed by knowing David, and so were ours.

Services: Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Rd) on Monday, July 22nd, 4PM until time of service at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Jefferson County Pet Food Pantry or the ASPCA.

  3. It had been a long time since I last saw David – we went to high school together and spent some time together in college – but I will always remember his joy, the laughter he brought to the room, and just his equally his giant heart and his capacity for caring and love. His family and friends are certainly in my prayers.

  7. I have the pleasure of working with Joe and Kari on the radio station for the past few years and although I never had the chance to meet David, I sure know how great of a person he was. Both Joe and Kari would speak so highly of him. My thoughts are with Joe and with David’s family and friends. May the memories of David and his kind ways bring you peace and comfort during these very difficult times. Sending love to all from Georgia.

  10. Have only just learned of David’s passing. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to Joe and all David’s family, friends and coworkers. We had been work colleagues- and I so fondly recall through the many phone calls and emails, etc (regarding any case:or situation,) how friendly and professional he was. He was dedicated and a quick study, yet his sense of humor came through.
Indeed sound of his laugh was a beautiful melody that will play on.
God’s peace during this most difficult time.
