Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mothe Church Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

Beloved husband of Alanna Cova (nee Mohlman) for over 29 years; loving father of Alyssa Marie and Kelsey Lynn Cova; dear brother of Julie (Jeremy) Bertz, Jane Manley and Joe (Kathy) Corso. Our dearest brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Thursday, July 18 at 11:00 am. Interment at St. Paul Churchyard Cemetery. Contributions to The Backstoppers or Stray Rescue appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 3-8 pm.

  4. “Friend to many” describes Jim. Our Affton Historical Society (Benoist Mansion) sends our condolences to Jim’s family. He was always ready to send a truck and crew to bring THE BIG BOY, to our famous Santa Houses; and most recently July 4 celebration. The passing of Captain James Cova leaves heavy hearts in our Community.

  5. Jim was the twin brother of my niece, Julie. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Alayna and the girls and the entire Cova family. I am praying that amidst all that has taken place and throughout this coming week that peace can begin to reenter their lives and eventually bring some comfort to those that loved him most.

  6. Wishing all Jimmy’s ladies peace and comfort during this difficult time. He was a kind and genuine neighbor & dear friend and missed so much already. He was an incredible father to your girls, watching him raise them over the years was a great privilege. Oh And the services were impeccable, he really had a grand exit. Cherish your memories close your heart and find light in the days ahead. We love you all!
