Patricia DIehl

In Loving Memory

Diehl, Patricia A. “Pat” (nee Alexander)

August 21, 1939 - February 9, 2026

Passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on February 9, 2026. Patricia was born on August 21, 1939, and was a proud lifelong resident of St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orville J. Diehl, with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage and built a life rooted in faith and family. Pat was a devoted mother to two children, her son John David and her daughter Susan (Vince) Hanak. She was a proud grandmother to her two grandchildren, Megan and Vincent. Family meant everything to her, and she never missed an opportunity to brag about the people she loved. She was one of two siblings and is preceded in death by her brother Raymond Alexander. Pat is survived by Raymond’s wife, Peggy Alexander, who was not only her sister-in-law but also her longtime roommate and dear friend. The two shared a bond that began in high school and lasted a lifetime. Both Pat and Peggy were graduates of Southwest High School and remained close until Pat’s final days. For many years, Pat worked for an orthopedic doctor, a role she took pride in. She was also deeply involved in her church, where she was an active member of her ladies’ group and found strong community and faith. Pat will be remembered for her vibrant personality and unmistakable zest for life. She was an avid Jeopardy! watcher, never missed a Raiders game, and enjoyed a good margarita. Pat lived life on her own terms. Above all, Pat was a great woman who was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

  1. Pat, you will be truly missed. I remember the times I met you at the family functions. You always had nice things to say to everyone. You were always kind and soft spoken. I know you are glad to be with Orville now and probably talking old times. Rest in peace sweet woman.
