Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 30, 1936, to Marian and Juanita Jimenez. Izzie lived a life rooted in faith, devotion, and service. On April 19, 1958, she married the love of her life, Carl Diveley. Together they built a beautiful life centered on family and faith. Carl preceded her in death on December 16, 2021.
In 1962, Izzie and Carl moved from Lemay to Arnold, where she became an active and devoted parishioner of St. David Catholic Church since its founding in 1963. Her service to the parish was extraordinary and heartfelt. She shared her beautiful voice in the choir and often served as its unofficial director. She also generously gave her time cleaning the rectory, performing secretarial duties, and teaching religion classes, among many other acts of quiet service. Her faith was not only something she believed — it was something she lived daily.
Later, Izzie joined the outside workforce and retired from DEMAC. Alongside Carl, she also participated in multiple Pro-Life trips, standing firmly for her beliefs and living out her values with conviction and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; her brother, Rick Jimenez; her niece, Juanita (Jimenez) Long; and multiple brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Izzie is survived by her three sons: Dave (Tammy) of Cape Girardeau; Dan (Lisa) of Imperial; and Doug (Beth) of Arnold. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and their spouses and a cherished great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Izzie’s life was a testament to love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but the legacy of her devotion and kindness will continue through the many lives she touched.
Services; Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Thursday 2/19, 9:15AM for 9:45AM Mass at Mary Mother of the Church (Kerth Rd.). Interment JB National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Birthright of Hillsboro, MO in her memory. Visitation at Kutis on Wednesday 2/18 from 4-8PM
She was such a great Aunt to all of us. Her smile always lit up a room. She will be deeply missed by us all. We love you Aunt Izzie and you will forever be in my heart.
I called Izzie and Carl my weekend parents when I was a kid visiting them and there boys. My father Fernando grew up with Izzie from childhood and Izzie was the sister he never had. I know Izzie will forever watch over her family from Heaven.
My deepest sympathy to Izzie’s children. Izzie was a very special lady. We all admired her and her good works.
We will miss you grandma and grandpa is happy to see you in heaven
Yes he is Emily. I find comfort in knowing they’re together again. 🥰

I am sorry for your loss. Izzie was a wonderful person. I will be praying for your family 🙏 ❤️
Butch and I met Izzie and Carl through their son, Dave and his wife Tammy. They were so friendly and treated us like one of the family.
Aunt Izzy was an angel on earth! She had a heart of gold! I have nothing but fond memories of growing up with such a special Aunt!! I had not seen her much as I have gotten older, but she was never very far from me in my heart. Karen Reese
So sorry for your loss, cousins. Me and Kevin (Virgil & Sues kids) always enjoyed going to their house. May God give you all peace and comfort during these difficult days ahead.❤️
We sure will miss mom and dad but appreciate all the nice comments from those who knew them. Thank you!
I am so sorry for the loss of such an amazing person. Izzie was part of our childhood on Emil and I will remember her fondly.
Julia, Carl and Izzie both enjoyed seeing you and your sisters making your way up the street after school, or stopping at the house for Halloween or a cut through to the ball field. They used to talk about it many times long after you all moved away. Thank you.
Im so sorry for your loss Ellen your grandma was the absolute best. She always treated me like one of the family
Izzie and Carl were always the nicest, kindest people I knew. They always had a smile for us. They were a joy to be with.
Izzy was a very special person and a great help to me while I was growing up in Arnold. Her friendliness and acknowledgement, her gracious words, all gave me a sense of security and direction. She was a great example of practical faith and service. She, together with Carl, made a lasting impression on me, inspiring me to serve God the way I do today.
I only met her a few times, but she was always warm, kind and supportive. It’s easy to see why she was loved by so many. Sorry for your loss, she will be welcomed into Heaven with open arms I’m sure.
Dear Diveley family,
I was sad to hear of Izzy’s passing and so sorry for her family’s loss. What a great person she was! I know she was ready to leave here and we all know where she’ll be going. Hopefully, that is some comfort to all that are grieving. Nonetheless, I know she will be missed. My sincere condolences.
I’m so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Your Mom was so sweet and always had a smile on her face. Izzy will be truly missed.
My sincere sympathy to Dan and the Dively family at the passing of your precious mother and grandmother, Izzie. What a wonderful legacy of love and faith she leaves behind, not only to your family but the many lives she touched along her journey.
Izzie was beautiful Inside and out. I always looked forward to seeing her at St. David’s. She was so supportive and welcoming to my daughter, Barb, when she joined the choir as a young teenager. Barb loved singing with Izzie. As fellow founding members of St. David’s, I felt a bond with her. She will be missed.
Love and Miss you both .
Our Deepest Sympathy, Dan and Family!
Prayers for all of you in the loss of your beautiful Mom and Grandmother! May she rest in peace🙏
