Marilyn (nee Raubach) Flores, 4/29/1944 – 2/14/2024
Marilyn Flores of Crestwood, MO, passed away peacefully on February 14 after being surrounded by family and friends in her last days, and was reunited with her Valentine and husband of 55 years, Dave Flores. She is survived by her children Christopher (Christy) Flores, Matthew (Georgina) Flores, Deb Flores (Kevin Rapp), Curtis Flores; grandchildren Christian, Colin, Justin, Anabelle, Olivia, Maygan, Katie, Izzy, Emma, Elliot and great-grandchild, Mina; sisters, Judy Walsh and Eileen Huth; beloved friend, Penny Kelly, and much loved by decades of family and friends.
Born in St. Louis to the late Alfred and Mae Raubach, she grew up and remained very close with her sisters, always adventurous and perpetually putting others before herself. She met Dave in Atchison, KS when attending Mount St. Scholastica college and they built their family in St. Louis where she spent most of her career teaching 2nd and 3rd graders in Catholic schools. Marilyn always loved children and was a mom and grandmother to all who entered her orbit. Between high school and college friends, teacher friends, the St. E’s community, her mahjong ladies, and finally her friends at Mother of Perpetual Help, she had so many friends who dearly loved her, because she dearly loved them. She was incredibly devoted to her family and her Catholic faith, knowing God walked with her throughout life, and then in death.
Services: Memorial Visitation on February 24 at 9:00am with Mass at 10:00am at St. Raymond – St. Elizabeth Church. Guests are invited to wear Irish green. Donuts and coffee to follow in the parish cafeteria. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Make a Wish® Missouri & Kansas.
I remember Marilyn as a generous and caring parishioner who was always there to volunteer to help in any project. God rest her soul.
Marilyn had a kind and generous spirit. She deeply loved her family, friends, and children. She touched the lives of many throughout her teaching career. Nothing better than to live in the hearts and memories of all those many people.
With deepest sympathy.
Thanks so much, Jean – your kind words mean a lot. She LOVED her teaching community!

Marilyn’s sweet nature and kindness is a gift we can carry with us. Fly with the angels, Friend.
Mrs. Flores will always be in my heart with Mrs. Curran as the dynamic duo who made Girl Scouts such an adventure. And in eighth grade when we earned our Marion Award, I didn’t think about how much time, attention and leadership Marilyn was giving us girls, but in hindsight, just wow. RIP Mrs. Flores..
Marilyn Flores was a wonderful teacher and a true asset to St. Clement School.
My children were blessed to Marilyn in their lives. She and her family will be in our prayers.
