Gloria Jean Gierer (Puzzo)

Gloria Jean Gierer (Puzzo) passed away suddenly at the age of 73 on May 31st, 2023 at Mercy St. Louis Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.

Gloria was born on May 30, 1950 to Peter Puzzo and Catherine Puzzo (DiMaria) and four loving brothers Antonio Puzzo, Joseph Puzzo, Donald Puzzo and John Puzzo. She graduated from Central Highschool in 1968.

On July 28th, 1969 she entered into holy matrimony with her beloved husband, Danny William Gierer Sr. This love story resulted in four children (Tina (Timothy) Craig, Lisa Gierer, Danny (Tryna) Gierer Jr., and Angela Gierer), eleven grandchildren (Michael (Michelle) Craig, Kaitlyn Craig, Antavius Gierer, Alexander Gierer, Kai Gierer, Lukas Gierer, Camiren Craig, Izaiah Gierer, Mikalah Gierer, Jake Gierer, and Paisley Preston, and two great grandchildren (Brantley and Aubree Craig).

She is proceeded in death by her parents (Peter and Catherine Puzzo), her brothers (John Puzzo and Joseph Puzzo, and her beloved husband of 54 years Danny Gierer Sr.

Gloria was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.

Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5244 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Wednesday June 7th, 8:45 a.m. to Immaculate Conception Church (Arnold) for a 9:30 Mass. Interment at J.B National Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday June 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  1. I am so, so sorry. It is so hard to comprehend this. Such a sweet and loving young lady. You will be missed so much. I for one, will never forget our conversations and the times and memories we shared when you and I lived across the street from each other on Salisbury Street. Bless you always dear friend and rest in peace.
