Graduated: Cleveland High School, St. Louis, Missouri
Career: Stenographer, Missouri Boiler; co-owner of Marketcom, Inc.; and retired after working at Walmart for 22 years in Customer Service.
Kathy shared her warmth, outgoing personality and love for family, the outdoors and animals. She trained several dogs and competed with them to earn obedience and show certifications. Later in life, she continued her love to rehome and adopt dogs as well as a few horses she rode, cared for and trained.
Her enthusiasm for cooking extended her love to bring family together for holidays and special occasions. Her family values led her to befriend nearly anyone that she could help or lend a hand of emotional support and encouragement.
Kathy is survived by her two sons Christopher and Matthew (Cheryl); three granddaughters Kayla, Anna and Lily; two siblings, Becky O’Neill her oldest sister and John (Jean) Jochum her younger brother; and their respective families.
SERVICES: Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) on Saturday, August 31, 9:30 a.m. until memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Committal at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleums, Gravois Rd.
The family asks that memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of a very special person. I am so thankful to have met Kathryn before she joined God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in eternity where there are no more tears. What a beautiful soul.
