Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Wednesday, April 24, 2024.  Dear mother of Louise (the late James “Jim”) Knoerle and Kathleen “Katie” (the late Lynnwood “Woody”) Saunders.  Dear grandmother of Jessica (Justin) Stamper and Jennifer Saunders.  Dear great grandmother of Peter, Dolorosa “Rosie”, Edward “Eddy” and Jasmine Stamper.  Our dear aunt, cousin and friend.

SERVICES:  Visitation at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (4924 Bancroft Ave. St. Louis, Missouri 63109) on Tuesday, April 30, 10:00 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, masses or contributions to the American Lung Association appreciated.

  3. Mrs. Hughes was always such a pleasant, sweet lady. Always allowing us to be at her house to play or listen to records. She would take us places in her VW. I will fondly remember her always.

  4. My sincere sympathy to all of Dolly’s family. I will miss her so.. Dolly was an angel and a great friend. We could talk about anything and everything. I met her through a mutual friend and the rest is history. Eternal Rest upon her soul and let God’s and her perpetual light keep shining upon us. She was an exceptional lady who truly lived her faith.!

  8. Dear Katie and Louise,
    Your mom was always so loved and welcomed wherever she was. You two should take credit for her long life as you both tag-teamed her care during these last years. Lucky for me, my memories of Dolly always involved a big family event in St. Louis; sometimes a wedding, sometimes a funeral, and sometimes a reunion. Every instance, Dolly was friendly, positive, and loving. Her faith and yours will keep her alive forever.
