In Loving Memory

Keller, Dennis L.

June 14, 1940 - June 5, 2026

Dennis L. Keller, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday June 5th, 2026.  Dennis, 85, was born in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was a loving and devoted man whose family meant everything to him.  He was a machinist for all of his working life, retiring from Anheuser-Busch many years ago.

An avid and self-taught DIY-er, Dennis enjoyed working on home-improvement projects at his own home, and at those of family and friends.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, bowling, pitching horseshoes, and especially spending time with family at the Lake.

A convert to Catholicism, he set an example of faith for his family to follow.  He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus.  He will be fondly remembered for his huge heart, his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and the joyful laughter that lit up his entire face.

Loving husband of Mary Joyce (nee Dunn) Keller for 64 years.   Loving father of Maureen (Mike) Downey, Brian (Kathy) Keller, and Cheryll (Bill) McCormick.  Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Oliver and Florence (nee Riewe) Keller, brother Gerald Keller, and sister Cheryll Keller.  Beloved Grandpa of Mike, Emily, Jenna, Devin, Brendan, Jack, Maggie, Lucy, and Brian.  Great-grandpa of Ken, Lou, David, Charlotte, and Luna.  Dearest brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.

Services:  Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry Rd.) on Tuesday June 9th, 9:30am for 10:00am Mass at Assumption Catholic Church (4725 Mattis Rd).  Donations in memory of Dennis can be made to de Greeff Hospice House.  Visitation at Kutis on Monday June 8th, from 4-7pm.

  1. Dennis became like a family member when my brother, Christopher, shared his room at Nazareth McGovern House. He was very kind and always had a smile and a Hi for us when we visited. He shared Maureen with Christopher for many months. These two (Dennis and Maureen) are a great joy in my family life. I am so thankful to have met them and shared our time at McGovern House. Peace to you all at this difficult time. 🙏🫂✝️ Jeanne Cross

  4. Dennis was a wonderful human being with a giving and loving heart! Our friendship began when he met and dated and then married my best friend, Joyce. Though living in different sides of the country, our lives intertwined through the years with phone calls and visits. We were blessed to have visited with Dennis and his family last year. May his memory be a blessing and bring peace and a smile to your hearts.
