Leverenz

In Loving Memory

Leverenz, Kathy M. (nee Hannan)

June 27, 1961 - February 1, 2024

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away suddenly on February 1, 2024.

Kathy was the wife of Bob Leverenz, dear mother of Mark and Michael. Dear daughter of the late MaryAnn (Weinmann) Hannan and late Maurice Hannan. Dear sister of Michael (Dona) Hannan. She was also a treasured niece,  sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Kathy was a 1985 Graduate from Barnes Nursing School, 1979 Graduate from Lindbergh High school, and earlier St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Grade School. Kathy was a dedicated wife, mother, and child of God. Part of her immense love was shown in her nursing at St. Clare Hospital. Many doctors and patients asked for her by name. She also had a knack for shopping, always figuring what everyone else needed, while hardly ever buying herself things. She always wanted the best for others. Her two boys felt selfless love. She will truly be missed.

SERVICES: Visitation and Funeral Mass will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Patrick’s Center to help the homeless, with emphasis on mental help: Donate – St. Patrick Center (stpatrickcenter.org)

  7. I worked with kathy for many years at St. Joe’s and then at saint Claire. Over the years we have kept in contact mainly through “chatty” christmas cards. Kathy was an amazing nurse , caring and compassionate. She was always there to lend a hand and help however she could.
And as passionate as she was about nursing, she was even more so about her family. She shared many a stories about friday night “pizza and game night”as well as family vacations…

Mark and Michael, you have always been,
and now from heaven, will always be the center of your mother’s attention and affection. She will always be with you, watching over you.

Rest in peace my friend, Rest in peace

  11. We are relatives living in Germany, and not all of us three siblings had the pleasure to meet Kathy in person. However, our mother Maria who was a cousin of Kathy’s mother MaryAnn often showed us fotos from the St. Louis family with Kathy as a baby, as a child, as a young adult, and also as a mother of two sons.

We are deeply sad of the sudden and unexpected loss. Our prayers are with her and her family.

My deepest condolences to her family and boys know she will be watching over you.

  15. Kathy was such a devoted nurse! And her patients were #1! She only had them in mind when she was caring for them. Kathy always asked about my folks who had health issues, inquiring as to the progress or sympathetic with their lack of progress. Always very sincere. Such sadness at this time. My heart goes out to the family. A great loss to all who knew her

  16. Kathy was a dear fellow nurse, coworker (St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood & SSM St. Clare Hospital of Fenton) and friend. The first post op patient report I received, when I started at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Kirkwood, was from Kathy. Kathy’s attention to detail and the care she gave her patients was exemplary. I had the privilege of having Kathy as my nurse when I had surgery many years ago. I love you Kathy and you will be sorely missed ❤️
