  1. As one who was fortunate to have worked closely with Mark, I will miss his passion and uncompromising integrity. In words and deeds, Mark never backed down from doing what he felt was right, what was fair for our contractors and what was in the best interest of the public. I will miss our talks, his adventurous spirit (both in work and in leisure), and his sly and mischievous sense of humor. I’m saddened that we won’t be able to honor his many years of public service or embarrass him with praise at some lame government retirement party; he deserved as much. Sincerest condolences.

  3. When our David Grandparents passed, I rarely traveled north to Aliquippa/Ambridge. Thus, I didn’t have opportunity to know Cousins Mark and Matt as I wish I had. When his father Stewart returned from visiting Mark in Missouri, he often visited me in Morgantown, WV. Cousin Stewart shared his pride in his son’s wonderful engineering career. An engineer myself, I thus was proud of Cousin Mark also.

  4. I knew Mark mostly from college days and shared at least one house with him. He was best man at wedding 30+ years ago. I can’t believe he has passed.
He always wanted to do the right thing and help other people have fun.
Sadly it has connected friends I haven’t seen in years but for some reason started thinking of a week ago. We all went out separate ways but it will be good to celebrate Marks life together.

  5. I’ve known Mark aka Doc for more than 30 years. He was always a loyal and fun loving friend. The friend you could call when you’re broke down on the highway. He was always there to help. And he was always up for skiing, off roading, motorcycling, camping in Colorado or just sitting around a camp fire. He’d just bought a jet ski and was anxious to try it out on the Missouri rivers. Rest in peace Mark. You are missed. God Bless.

  6. I became a friend of Mark early in my federal career. When I needed a construction manager on projects that could be counted on to do the job right, on time and on budget, Mark was that person. Mark impressed me as a family man who would do anything to help out another person. I will miss Mark. He was taken by the Good Lord way too soon, if you ask me.

  7. Mark had many interesting experiences and always had a good story. He was a wealth of knowledge and he had a keen sense of humor, too. He was always thinking ahead and questioning things. Hope answers and peace are part of his next destination. Prayers for the happiest of memories to be those that come first and foremost for all who knew, and loved, him. Sincere condolences and respect, Jeff Dwyer – GSA co-worker
