Joseph Miloscia passed away on March 3, 2025 surrounded by family. He lived a life of faith, family, and service!
Joseph was born January 18, 1937 in The Bronx, New York to Vito and Margaret Miloscia and was followed by his three brothers Michael (Bea), William (Elizabeth), and Jerry. Subsequently, his family moved to Flushing, New York where he graduated from Newtown High School in 1954.
After graduation, Joseph enlisted into the United States Air Force where he was assigned to Keesler AFB, Mississippi. Soon afterwards he wisely reunited with and, in 1957, married his high school sweetheart Mary Lang. In the next six years their family grew quickly as Mark (Meschell), Stephen (Beverly), Diane (John), Lisa (Mark), and Joseph (Christine) were born. Besides their five children, Joe and Mary currently have been blessed with 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 16 sons and daughters-in-laws!!
Joseph and family moved back to Flushing in 1965, where they raised their children not far from his parents. He had a varied career, starting in insurance sales, then he bought and ran a local family-run Delicatessen, and finally worked as a premier salesmen for both Paul Stuart, and Brooks Brothers clothing stores.
In 2009 Joseph and Mary left New York and moved to Oakville, Missouri.
A wise and caring man, Joseph was a loving husband and father who lived his Catholic faith as he provided for his family and mentored his grandchildren. A hardworking man, talented salesman and small business owner, he could talk to anyone about anything at work or at play! He volunteered at Church and in his community and he could be caught daily reading a book or trying to finish the latest NY Times crossword puzzle.
He is irreplaceable and will be dearly missed.
Services for Joseph Miloscia include a Public Visitation at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church (6603 Christopher Dr, Oakville MO) at 10am Thursday March 13, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am. His interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
