Mr. Burnell Raebel will be sorely missed by his mailman……it’s been a pleasure and a privilege to have served him and his lovely bride, Rose.
After 40 years of delivering the U. S. mail, I can honestly say I’ve never met a closer and more loving family than the children of Mr.. And Mrs Burnel.
This Dairy Farming family has been recognized as a century farm, where Burnell lived nearly his entire life. If one ever wished to meet a great American family, his wish would be fulfilled in meeting this one. They were the salt of the earth.
And their kindness and decency has left a legacy that will live on through many generations to come.
Thank you Mike. I know Dad and Mom always loved seeing and visiting with you. You were more than just their mailman, you were a wonderful friend to them as well.
So many memories of Mr. And Mrs.Raebel opening their home and farm to me as a child. I had such fun being a farm girl for a day. Allowed to be part of bringing the cows in, milking, feeding baby calves. Playing in the hay loft with the cats and thinking this is so very high off the ground.. Roaming the hillside making plaster Paris casts of animal tracks. There was never a dull moment and we were fed very well thanks to Mrs Raebel. Mr Raebel’s tracker rides were the best. He was such a trickster. One time he asked if
wanted to see him shoot a cow. Of course I said yes.we’ll meet me at the barn. So I did. I was expecting him to literally kill the cow win a gun. The joke was on me…he was shooting the cow with a vaccine and he had a great big smile on his face.when he saw my face. Thank you and your family for including me in your lives. I always remember you fondly.
Mr.Raebel was a very good man with a wonderful family. They always cut our hay (Eldred Arnolds) every year and together with his three daughters and son we
would get it loaded on the trailers for storage in the barn. Those were great times and I miss that so much. So sorry to hear of his passing.
You have so much to proud of in this man. As I say…”Good people!” He (they) knew just the right formula for Faith, Family and Farm. He’s (they) leaving many lessons, love and stories behind. (Loved that milk we got the farm). My thoughts & prayers are with you all. 🙏🧑🧑🧒🧒🚜 What a gift Burnell & Rose were 💝
