Carol Schaeffer

In Loving Memory

Schaeffer, Carol A. (nee Withum)

April 4, 1942 - October 19, 2024

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Carol Ann Schaeffer, who entered eternal rest on October 19th.  Surrounded by loved ones and the comfort of her faith, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of all that knew her.

A devoted servant of our Lord, Carol lived a life of unwavering faith, love and kindness.  She showered her loved ones with boundless love, guidance and support.  Her selflessness, warmth, and generosity inspired countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Her commitment to her family was evident in every aspect of her life and she treasured a special closeness with her grandchildren.

Her youthful beauty was surpassed only by her warm spirit and her ability to make everyone feel loved and valued.

Carol will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched:

Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Schaeffer; cherished mother of four children, Rick Schaeffer, the late Lisa (Michael) Vienhage, the late Timothy (Jennifer) Schaeffer, and Michelle (John) Burke.

Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren; Ryan, Lauren, Carmen, Anthony, Rocco, Anna, Michael, Max, Abby, Tyler, Cameron, John and Brennan.  Sister of Suzanne (Dave) Mehler and Patricia Rexroat.

SERVICES: In celebration of her life, a funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25th at 10 am with visitation beginning at 9 am at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish (4900 Ringer Rd., 63129). Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

  1. We are so very sad about the passing of Mrs. Schaeffer. She was pure class and elegance through and through. Always a lady. Just like her daughter Michelle, who I had the pleasure of working with at Shriners. My love and prayers go out to the beautiful family.

  4. Aunt Carol was a beautiful woman with incredible kindness, grace, fortitude, and resilience. I had the pleasure of talking to her at my Dad’s recent funeral and told her that she was a beautiful woman both inside and out. She encouraged me to stay strong no matter what life throws at you. She has been a real inspiration for me. Love to Uncle Rich and Aunt Carol’s kids, their spouses and grandchildren and all the Schaeffer’s. Please make sure to say a Hip Hip Hurrah for Aunt Carol for me tomorrow.
