In Loving Memory

Stubbs, Norma Ethel

age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29 at Quality Health Care Center Nursing Home in Winter Garden, Fla., under the care of Hospice of the Comforter. She was born Feb. 2, 1920, in St. Genevieve, the ninth of 13 children. Norma is now reunited with her husband, Harry Stubbs, who she married in 1944 in St. Louis. She spent 32 years working for Famous Barr until she retired in 1988. A few years after her retirement, she moved to Northern Virginia to help care for great-grandchildren and remained there until she moved with family to the Orlando area in 2011. Regardless of where Norma called home, she actively followed current events and was always ready for a passionate political discussion.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra and son Harry Joseph; grandchildren Gina, Jeff, Lisa, Jacqueline (Glen) and Gregory (Kelli) and her 9 great-grandchildren.

Family, friends and others whose lives Norma touched are invited to Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, from 5:30 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19 for calling hours.

The funeral service and burial will be held Friday, July 20 at 9:45 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2900 Sheridan Road.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to your local hospice organization.
