Tyrer, Elizabeth “Liz” (nee: Neff)

August 14, 1931 - September 29, 2023

Mrs. Elizabeth Tyrer (nee: Neff) passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Jack H. Tyrer, a prominent St. Louis area architect, she was the loving mother of Peggy (Mrs. Chuck) Fisher and Polly (Mrs. Joe) Ferraro.  Dearest grandmother of Stephen (Lauren) Fisher, Katie (Kyle) White, Becky Fisher and Maria Ferraro.  She was a devoted alumnus of Central Methodist College (now university) and was a member of the P.E.O sisterhood for 71 years.  She was adored by her earthly family, but is now with her beloved husband.

SERVICES:  Graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery (10180 Gravois Road Affton, MO 63123) on Monday, October 9, 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Central Methodist University (411 Central Methodist Square Fayette, MO 65248 or https://www.centralmethodist.edu/) or the P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund (https://donations.peointernational.org/peo-donation-elf) will be appreciated.

  1. Your parents were good friends of ours. Your dad was my go to on many architectural questions in my St. Louis classes and was the oversight architect for Siteman in the condo building we live in now. Jim and I always enjoyed being with your parents at events at Southminster. thank you for taking good care of your mother when she needed to move to Texas. Sincerely, Joan Huisinga
