Beloved husband for 58 years (& together for 66) of Carolyn Wheeler (nee Valdes); loving father of Laura (Rhett) Owen; dear son of the late Earl and Helen Wheeler; dear brother of the late Thomas (surviving Cathryn) Wheeler; dear uncle of Stacey (Ron) Mennare and Michael (Carla) Wheeler; dear great uncle of Devin Hennessy; dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

Bob was a retired firefighter for University City where he served for 35 years.

Services; Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Friday March 7, 9:30 AM until service at 10:30 AM. Inurnment JB National Cemetery. Memorials to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital appreciated.

  1. Bob was a customer of mine when I worked at Dollar General in Grasso Plaza. He would come in a couple of times a week after working out and get sugar wafers. He was always so nice to me when I would see him. He stopped coming around after awhile and I always wondered what happened to him.

    Rest in peace, Bob.
