Helen Lucille Wohlschlaeger – Austin, Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was born Feb, 18 1937 and passed to eternal rest Friday, June 10 2016 at Mary, Queen and Mother Center, St Louis Mo.  Helen and her family moved to high Ridge, MO in 1969. Helen owned “All Breed Grooming” in Fenton, MO for many years. Later in life she sold real-estate and among other things transported cars for dealerships because she liked to stay busy and didn’t like sitting around. In the late 70s / early 80s Helen was known in the Midwest as “The woolly worm lady” because of her winter weather predictions by the color of the “woolly worm”. She had many interviews on various TV and radio stations as well as feature articles in local papers.  She had a wide variety of hobbies including, raising and showing Irish setters,  archery, marksmanship, spelunking, and fishing.

She is survived by her loving sons; Norman (Glynis) Wohlschlaeger, Timothy (Kim) Wohlschlaeger and David (Karen) Wohlschlaeger A Loving grandmother to: Norman (Jessica) Wohlschlaeger, Kyle (Jessica) Wohlschlaeger, Sarah (Jeff)Kuehnle, Jillian (Brian) Boswell, Cameron Wohlschlaeger, Elizabeth Wohlschlaeger, Kevin Wohlschlaeger and Laney Wohlschlaeger and great grandmother to Emerson Wohlschlaeger She was proceeded in death by her son Tom Wohlschlaeger III, husbands Vance Dowell, Don Austin and former husband Tom Wohlschlaeger Jr.

A visitation will be held to honor her life at Kutis Funeral Home 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis Mo 63123 on Thursday, June 16 from 4: 00 PM-9:00 PM.
