Chitwood

In Loving Memory

Chitwood, Terry L.

June 25, 1952 - September 26, 2023

Terry L. Chitwood passed away peacefully September 26, 2023 surrounded by family. He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen, sons Tim (Tara), Andrew (Audrey), and grandsons Parker, Weston, Ryan, and Nolan.  He was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Terry was a loving husband, father, and Papa, who always put his family first.  His honesty, integrity, strong work ethic, and willingness to lend a helping hand were virtues he lived by and passed onto his children.  He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, avid car afficionado, especially the muscle car era, and a fan of the classic westerns of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.  He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and grand dogs.  Over the years he volunteered at BJC and was a mentor for transplant patients.

Visitation at Kutis Funeral Home Affton on Thursday, September 28 from 10am-1pm with a service at 1pm.  Private burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his honor to Mid-America Transplant, Donate Life America, American Heart Association, or the National Kidney Foundation.

  2. Terry was a strong, kind man who always made sure to say hello even when he was suffering. He lives on in my son-in-law Andrew who clearly learned from one fo the best. May God bless Terry and grant his family strength in this difficult time.

  4. Truly, the world has lost one of the good ones. Terry was a good, solid family man with a gentle soul. A soft-spoke. man of excellent character, he possessed many of the attributes that are rare these days, such as: integrity, kindness, faithfulness, honesty; just to name a few. Many lives are better for having known him.
