LaBeau, Rose Marie

Rose Marie LaBeau

Rose Marie LaBeau, 83, of Pevely, MO, died peacefully, with her family at her side, of complications from Alzheimer’s disease on February 2, 2025.  She was born in St. Louis, MO to Mary Johns and Fred Larson, and first met her loving husband Bob when they were just babies playing in a crib.

Rose was preceded in death by her mother Mary, Father Fred, sister Kathy, and brothers Ted, Mike, and Larry, and is survived by her husband Bob, children Bob Jr., Tim, and Sue, 7 grandchildren: Josh Harper, Alex Gamble, Myndi McLaughlin, Matt Harvey, Megan Schuetz, Andrea Lesniewski, Chase LaBeau, Larson LaBeau, Colin LaBeau  and 13 great grandchildren.

The viewing is on Thursday, February 6th at Kutis Funeral Home (5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129) from 4pm – 8pm CST.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 7th, 10am St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 4556 Telegraph Road St. Louis, MO 63129.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

We will have a celebration of life gathering at Helen Fitzgerald’s Irish Grill and Pub (3650 S Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63127) from 2 – 5pm.  Food and drinks will be provided, and we hope everyone will join us.

  2. My family – Don & Kerin Smith and I met Rose and Bob last year at Southview Assisted Living. There was an immediate connection and we will forever have both Rose and Bob in our hearts. May Rose rest in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ until we all meet again.

  5. I haven’t seen Rose in many many years but have some very fond memories of parties at their home. One of the many times we were there, Bob went through the pictures he had developed of first the moon landing and gave my husband some of his duplicates and it was something my husband Marc, cherished till the day he passed away. Thanks for the memories Rose, RIP

  6. I had the privilege to be a caregiver to Rose. She was such a beautiful person. I always called her My Sunshine and she would always give me the biggest smile. She would always tell you Thank You not matter what the situation was. I will truly miss my Rosie. My deepest condolences goes out to Bob and the family. I’m so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul.

  10. Oh, the good times…all of you LaBeaus knew how to throw a party for Rose. It seemed like Rose and Mickey were joined at the hip since kindergarten. It was the ‘Lucy and Ethyl Show’. Bob, God bless you and your entire family.
