In Loving Memory

Dann Jr., Lawrence Duane

April 2, 1962 - November 15, 2025

It is with full hearts that we honor the life of a humble giant, a man whose quiet strength and steady love shaped everyone fortunate enough to walk beside him. Lawrence Dann Jr (Larry), 63, passed away on November 15th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy built not on accolades or attention, but on character, devotion, and the deepest kind of goodness.

Larry is survived by his wife Joyce Dann, son Lawrence Dann, daughters Emily Casey and Jackie McSalley (Patrick McSalley), grandchildren; Skylar Casey, Jackson Casey, Cayden McSalley, and Colin McSalley, sisters Laura Kassebaum (David Kassebaum) and Dorris Franklin (Ron Franklin), as well as extended family including many nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom will forever carry him in their hearts and in the ways they live their own lives. His presence will be missed deeply, but his legacy—of humility, hard work, kindness, and devotion—will continue through them. Larry was preceded in death by his mother Dorris Dann, father Lawrence Dann Sr, brother Clifford Dann, and sister Allison Dann.

Larry was a man who took pride in a hard day’s work. Whether he was cooking, building, creating, or simply lending a hand, he poured himself into everything he did. His work was never just a job—it was his way of caring for his family and contributing something meaningful to the world. Larry poured his blood, sweat, and tears into countless hours at Orlando Garden’s. Larry was proud and honored to be called Chef and lead his team each day. Those who knew him often said his hands told the story of a life spent providing, building, and giving.

Above all, he was a devoted husband and father. His wife and children were his greatest joy, his biggest accomplishment, and the center of every decision he made. He showed his love in countless ways—through guidance, laughter, support, and the steady presence that only a great husband and father can give. With patience in his voice and pride in his eyes, he taught by example: how to be honest, how to treat others with respect, and how to stand tall in a world that isn’t always easy.

To his family, he was the anchor—steadfast, dependable, and endlessly loving. His quiet humor, gentle spirit, and warm hugs filled their lives with comfort. He never needed to be the loudest or the first; he simply showed up every day with a heart full of love and a willingness to serve the people he cherished.

Though we release him with sorrow, we celebrate the extraordinary man he was. A humble giant whose life made the world better in quiet, powerful ways.
