Beloved husband of Janice Allgire (nee Sparn); father of Rebecca (Ryan) Paulsen and Timothy (Michelle) Allgire; Jimpa of Josie and Riley Paulsen, Gretchen and Calvin Allgire; brother of Carolyn (the late Craig) Hart and Richard (Alice) Allgire; brother-in-law of Tim Sparn.
Jim had a master’s degree in chemistry and spent over 40 years working at the FDA here in St. Louis. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially if they were hunting, fishing, or playing tennis.
Visitation will be held at Kutis Affton Chapel at 10151 Gravois on Tuesday, January 20 from 3-8pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 21 at 10am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. To honor his memory, contributions to The National Park Foundation or Ducks Unlimited are greatly appreciated.
