In Loving Memory

Dumeyer, William “Bill” Walter

January 22, 1945 - February 5, 2026

William “Bill”  Walter Dumeyer, age 81, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away after a short illness on February 5, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Bill was born January 22, 1945 and grew up in the Oakhill neighborhood of South St. Louis, staying in touch with many of his childhood friends.  Bill graduated from St Johns High School in 1962 and, with friends, decided to join the Army Reserves.

After earning degrees from St louis University and Washington University, Bill took engineering positions at White Rogers, McDonnell Douglass, and Anheuser-Busch.  He then entered the real estate world as “The #1 Realtor”, as Bill referred to himself.  He loved being the ambassador of real estate, handing out Sports schedules adorned with his face to everyone he met.

Bill and Nancy, his wife of 41 years, never had a dull moment.  They worked together at A-B, in Real Estate as partners, and loved and cherished their many dogs thru the years.  Bill loved working in the yard at his home, feeding the birds, and loved any sport on tv.  The consummate socialite, he frequented many small business establishments in south city and south county, never meeting a stranger.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Florence (Blume) Dumeyer.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy Trares-Dumeyer, stepson Jeffrey Trares and his wife, Rachel, and sisters Carole Fischer, Judy Graves, and Phyllis (Pete) Kleissle.  He cherished his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.  Bill is reunited with his beloved brothers-in-law, Charles “Skip” Fischer and Tom Graves.

Services: Family and friends are invited to honor Bill’s life during visitation on February 9, 2026, Kutis, South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, 63129, from 10:00 a.m.  – 1:00 P.M. with Funeral Service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please spread kindness by donating to your favorite charity on Bill’s behalf.
