    Celebrating the Life of Mona

Gertrude Rosa Mona Gertrude Rosa (Nee Blake), age 86, of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Mona was the daughter of Ralph & Maude (Nee Conway) Blake of St. Louis, MO. She was born on December 11, 1939.  

Mona met Chester Ray Rosa at the 1st United Baptist Church in St. Louis. The two were married on December 22, 1956. They had three children; Cindy Lee Rottmann (Nee Rosa), Kenneth Ray Rosa, & Jeffrey Allen Rosa. She dearly & deeply loved all of her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. She was a loving Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Cousin and wonderful friend to many. Mona & Chester celebrated 62 years of marriage. Chester preceded her in death on April 26, 2019. They are together again and reunited forever more.  

Mona finished her work career at ITT before retirement. Mona’s activities included hunting, fishing, archery & camping. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers. She had great times with her Bingo lady friends & many cousins. She was an excellent home cook. Her specialty was cooking the wild game & fish they had harvested. Above all, she loved to sing & dance every chance she could. Her favorite singing partner was her Sister, Janet Reese.  

Mona will be truly missed by her family & friends. Rest in Peace.  Until We Meet Again

Services: Visitation at Arnold United Baptist Church 1968 Lonedell Rd. Arnold, Mo on Wednesday, February 25, from 3 p.m. until time of service 5 p.m. (Same Day) with services concluding that evening. Burial Thursday, February 26, 11 a.m. at Ellington City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Arnold United Baptist Church
