February 6, 1938 - March 27, 2026

Michael Barinotti went to his Heavenly home on Friday , March 27, 2026. He was 88 years old and passed away due to complications of dementia and Parkinson’s .

He was preceded in death by his parents Martha and Joe Barinotti and his sister Joanna Braun. He was the beloved husband to Maggie (Marge Giardina) Barinotti. He was a devoted father to Erica (Jeff) Duncan, Matt (Robin) Barinotti , and Amy (Kevin) Rice. They blessed him with nine grandchildren.

He was born on February 6, 1938 and raised in Cadillac, Michigan. He was a ski instructor while he lived in Michigan. Michael was in the Army and stationed in Germany where he was able to tour most of Europe. He had good memories of his time in the service and often talked about it.

When his job took him to Illinois and Missouri , he took up competing in dirt bike racing. He liked the thrill of riding fast up and down dirt hills. Michael enjoyed golfing with his buddies from church . Eventually he even played golf with Maggie and they enjoyed many rounds of golf together.

In retirement Michael and Maggie enjoyed travelling all through the United States . They met some life long friends through their trips.

His career was selling and he loved his job with Lumberyard Supply Company where he sold building materials mostly in Missouri . He especially like engaging with customers, coworkers, and even his bosses. He never thought of it as a job and looked forward to going to work everyday.

He was active in his Twin Rivers Worship Center church and became an Elder not long after he became a member.

In 2025 he and his wife moved into a retirement facility which was a good fit for them. There they made some great friends and enjoyed the good life.

Michael fought a courageous battle with his diseases. He was a fighter and determined not to give in, but his health continued to declined. Hospice stepped in and was a constant help to him.

He was a gentle , kind , loving husband and caring father to his three children . He will be missed by many.

Visitation at Twin Rivers Church 10575 Tesson Ferry Road 63123 on Wednesday, April 8 from 9:30 am. until Funeral Service time at 11:00 am. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
