Marvin E. Beard Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Nancy E. Beard (nee Wafler)
Marvin was a loving father to Jennifer Norris. He was also a dear brother to Nancy (Dale) Leeker, and was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Waggoner, and his brother, Donald Beard.
He was a cherished uncle to Russell (Paula) Leeker, Jeffrey (Sheryl) Leeker, and the late Donald Waggoner. and step-father of John (Jill) McDowell and Nancy (Patrick) Martin.
Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated more than 30 years of his life to education as a teacher, touching the lives of many students throughout his career.
Marvin will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the many years he devoted to teaching and helping others.
Services: Visitaiton at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd on Tuesday, September 8, from 10:30 am until time of service 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marvin’s memory to Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Disabled American Veterans
