Marcella “Marcy” Hainsworth (nee: Meyer), age 76, of Imperial, Missouri, passed away peacefully September 1, 2026, at home with her husband by her side.
On March 10, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, Marcy was the third of five children born to Levoy and Helen Meyer. She was a graduate of Mehlville Senior High School and went on to marry her childhood sweetheart and neighbor, Norm. A couple of years later they welcomed their son, Mark. During their time together, they lived in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Arnold, and Imperial, Missouri.
As a working wife and mother, Marcy balanced career, family, and managing the home with grace. She retired from Storz Medical Instrument Company (Bausch & Lomb) after twenty-five years of loyal employment as a convention event planner.
Marcy spent time outside the home in fellowship with friends, fellow believers, and various church and community groups over many years. She served her church in the nursery, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and greeted with the welcome team. She was a member of many different small groups at church and other ministries. Her legacy is the love, joy and kindness she poured into every life she touched.
Marcy is survived by her husband, Norman; her son, Mark; daughter-in-law, Janice (Thomas); and Chloe Kell with whom she held a special relationship as “Grammy”. She is also survived by her younger siblings, Margaret “Peggy”, and Mark; along with extended family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Levoy “Micky” and Helen Meyer; and older siblings Mike and Mary.
Services: A visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Thursday September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until service at noon, with burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
