Born on Jan. 23, 1924, passed away on Nov. 7, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Jane Baxter, and his three sons, William Michael, Steve (Linda), and John. He is the beloved grandfather of Andrew, Daniel, Sarah, and Evan. His sisters are Christine Randen, Violet Anderson, and the late Juanita Bruhn. He was uncle to many.

He was a graduate of Herculaneum High School, and a Bronze Star veteran of the Army’s 6th Division in the South Pacific during World War II. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State, and received a Masters from Northwestern University. He was a teacher at Herculaneum High School and in Evanston, Illinois. He was Superintendent of Fox and  Bayless School Districts. He was an active member of the Crestwood/ Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club after his  retirement. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois on Thursday, November 12, 10:30 a.m. until funeral service at 12:30 p.m.  Interment J.B. National  Cemetery. Contributions to the American Diabetes Association,  appreciated.
