James G. Thompson, known as Jerry to all, passed suddenly on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Beloved husband to Phyllis K. Thompson (nee Kerr); loving father to Leonora A. (Sam) Kham (nee Thompson), Catherine E., and James A. Thompson; grandfather to Eric A. and Amanda A. Kham, son of the late James E. and Dixie L. Thompson; brother to Terry L. (Charles) Cameron and Larry E. Thompson; uncle, cousin, friend, and mentor to many.

Jerry had a never-ending thirst for knowledge, taking deep pride in sharing his wisdom. He was a man of a thousand hobbies, a sharp wit, and genuine kindness.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 4-7pm at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123. Funeral will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10am at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO 63123, followed by internment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
