passed away peacefully on July 16, 2018.
Ann is survived by her husband of 50 years Alfred J. Flynn, two children and three grandchildren: Michael J. Flynn of Chicago, Illinois, his wife, Melissa, and their three sons, Peter, Joseph, & Terence; Brigid M. Flynn of St.Louis and her husband, David Moore. Ann is also survived by her sister Mary Catherine Schneider and her husband, Jack, of St. Charles, MO; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Gould, her brothers, George, Robert, and John Gould; and her sister Rose O’Brien (Jack.) An avid Cardinals fan and lover of all things Irish, Ann was always ready for a good laugh and a good book. She valued family, friends, and faith. Ann was a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, Missouri, and remained devoted to the school and its ideals for her entire life. In 1958, Ann graduated from Maryville College and began teaching kindergarten. In 1962, Ann left teaching to pursue her love of travel and started her 38-year career at Trans World Airlines.
In 1967, Ann was joined in her travels and in her life by her lov- ing husband Al. They enjoyed 50 wonderful years of marriage highlighted by frequent trips to Ireland and around the globe.
Ann was extremely devoted to her Catholic faith and embodied the spirit of making the world a better place through the count- less volunteer hours she contributed to many different causes and organizations. Her many contributions included being a Board Member and active organizer at Peter & Paul Community Services of St. Louis; docent at the Shrine of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne at the Academy of the Sacred Heart; tutoring for ele- mentary-school children at St. Justin Martyr Catholic School; and numerous other parish and community service volunteer roles.
