Bartnett, Sally Marlene (Deevers)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sally Marlene Bartnett (Deevers), who passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at the age of 94 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Born on January 23, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, Sally was the beloved daughter of Arnold Ted Deevers and Hazel Irene Campbell Deevers, and the loving sister of Arnold (Rose) Deevers and Peggy (Al) Hasenmueller.

Sally was the devoted wife of the late John Bartnett, with whom she shared a loving marriage of nearly 60 years and a lifetime of cherished memories. She was a loving and devoted mother to John (Terri) Bartnett, Daniel (Kathleen) Bartnett, Kathy (Paul) Mistretta, Karen (Tim) Bay, Sally (Chip) Bartnett-Bothmann, and Amy Bartnett.

She was the proud grandmother of Sarah Clark, Christine (Ben) Harris, Matthew Hrastich, Katie (Aaron) Routt, Michael Bay, Kile (Brenna) Bay, Alison (Graham) Sebacher, Lindsay Mistretta, Jack Mistretta, Shawn Cross, and Luke Cross. She was also blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren: Ashton, Wyatt, Everly, Dylan, Owen, Lucy, Ava, Amalia, Zachary, Jacob, Lucas, Abby, Josephine, Henry, Max, and Julian. Sally also leaves behind many treasured friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and love.

Sally dedicated her life to her faith in Jesus Christ, to her family, and to her friends. She was known for her unwavering kindness, generosity, strength, and steadfast faith. She never met a stranger, welcoming everyone with warmth, compassion, and a genuine interest in their lives. Her joyful spirit and infectious smile made everyone feel like family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bartnett, who passed away on January 26, 2013.

Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63123, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Twin Rivers Church, 10575 Tesson Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63123, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Sally will be remembered for her unwavering love for Jesus Christ, her deep devotion to her family, and the compassion she showed to everyone she met. Her life was a testament to faith, grace, generosity, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
