Blunda, Perry F. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 2, 2018 at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton. The caring medical staff there allowed him to pass with dignity, informing family of the process every step of the way. Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1948, he passed from this life into an eternal life after receiving the Last Rights from the resident priest. Perry leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his best friend and confidant of 46 years, Donna Blunda (nee Frank), son Christopher Blunda, daughter Heather Blunda, and two grandchildren Ryan Blunda and Izabelle Blunda. He was predeceased by his parents Patrick Blunda, LaVerne Blunda and his brother, Victor Blunda.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at KUTIS Couth County Chapel, (at Butler Hill), to celebrate his life with many memories you bring with you to share. Service beginning at 1 p.m.; burial with military honors following service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Perry was very proud to have served for his country and often gave out thank you cards to fellow veterans thanking them for their service. You could spot him from afar by his US Navy cap he proudly wore when leaving home for any reason. In lieu of flowers, donations to support the Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated.
We all live on borrowed time. People come and go so unexpectedly, we sometimes forget that nothing really lasts as long as we hoped they would. Surely, losing someone dear to us can be a heartbreaking experience, but it’s something we need to accept in order to continue on with our lives. Perry will surely be missed by many.
