Donald William Myers, 83, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, and went home to be with the Lord. Don was born in St. Louis on November 8, 1942, to W.K. Myers and Nina Myers. His Christian faith was an important part of his life, and he tried to live each day with faith, kindness, and love for the people around him.
On January 25, 1964, Don married his high school sweetheart, Vivian G. Myers. Their marriage lasted more than 62 years. Through all of those years, they shared a life together built on love, faith, family, and the simple commitment of being there for one another. Don loved Viv deeply, and she remained the love of his life.
Family was at the heart of Don’s life. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed the simple things in life – spending time with his family, time and the lake, enjoying a day out on the boat, and, of course, sitting down with a bowl of popcorn. These were the kinds of moments that brought him happiness.
Don also had a fun side that his family will always remember. Somewhere along the way, he became known as the “young, exceedingly handsome Don Myers”—a description that was said with plenty of affection and a good dose of humor. It still brings a smile to hear this name and will be remembered fondly.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Viv; his children, Mike (Pam) Myers, Matt (Cheryl) Myers, and Meghan (Brian) Edwards; his grandchildren, Madeleine (Ryan) Krupp, Cole Myers, Emily Edwards and Harper Edwards; his great grand-daughter Clara Krupp; and his brother, Norman Myers.
Those who knew Don will remember his love for his family, his faith in the Lord, and his appreciation for the simple joys of life. He was not someone who needed attention or recognition. He found his happiness in the people he loved, the time they spent together, and the life they shared.
Don’s faith guided him through life, and his family takes comfort now in knowing that, after 83 years, he is with his Lord and Savior.
