In Loving Memory

Stack, Lou Ann

Stack, Lou Ann, (nee O’Connell), of St. Louis, passed away in her home in  Arnold, MO on  November 23, 2018.

Lou Ann was born to George and Ella O’Connell on June 9, 1936 in St. Louis. Lou Ann could  accomplish anything she wished. She loved the water, sun and  outdoors, and spent the summer months at the O’Connell  clubhouse on the Big  River,  leading to her passion for  swimming. At an early age, she started working at the YWCA on S. Kingshighway, which she  continued for 35 years, retiring as the Aquatics Director. During these times, she received numerous awards and medals related to her Synchronized Swimming program, including  “Synchronized Seals”, winning State Championships. She  especially loved teaching and helping children, and initiated  water programs for special needs Children. Lou Ann’s favorite pastime after retiring was her continued visits to the Rec-Center for daily aquatics, as well as making her favorite beef soup and Christmas cookie for everyone. Lou Ann will be lovingly  remembered by her son Tim Stack (Carole), daughter Tami Leassner (Tom), grandchildren Nicholas Berdeaux, Jason Stack, Joshua Dickey, Ryan Stack (Ashley), DeeAnn Dickey and great-grandmother to Jon, as well as all family and friends.

Service: Memorial visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Saturday, December 1, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. Inurnment Private. Memorial  donations may be made in memory of Lou Ann to the Humane Society of Missouri or Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
