  11. So sad to hear this. Pat was such a wonderful person. She helped me so much as a new teacher at Jefferson. I often think about those times even though that was 1997. She was so proud of her daughters and talked about them all the time. They have definitely made her proud. I enjoyed seeing her traveling to see grandchildren! She will be missed!!

So sorry about the big loss. Accept my condolences. I won’t say “Be strong” but I will say ” Let’s be strong”. I know how great a mother she has been. Even just a previous short interaction with her through Facebook chat tells me all about her – simply GOOD. Also raising such wonderful ladies (You and Nathalie) to be great ones in society clarifies the respect due her.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
    Let’s all read John 5:28…

  43. Our Patricia Pogue was such a gem. Often when she was ushering her students to my vocal music room, I would see the students and hear Pat’s voice down the hall, long before I actually saw her.

Pat was a matter of fact kind of a person. She managed well through the ups and downs of school life at Ames V.P.A.
If something came up and I had to suddenly cancel her scheduled Arts class, I can remember her saying “ Oh that’s alright Bev, we’ll manage and be just fine.”

Pat loved her family. She would be so excited, bubbly and all smiles whenever she returned from visiting her daughters and grands.
She was a loyal friend and mentor to many. I so miss her.

My sincere condolences to the family. May peace, comfort, grace and blessings be to all who knew and loved her.

    Elementary School for many
    years. I especially enjoyed her
    wonderful sense of humor.
It was apparent she was family oriented. She would often share of her travels and how she enjoyed spending time with
    her children and grandchildren.
It saddens me to know I will not see her anymore. I extend my deepest condolences to the entire Pogue Family.

    Ms. Pogue will certainly
    be missed.
